Enjoy a day of tubing in the Polar Coaster tube park. Four runs offered for the beginner
and advanced. Lift service provided. Tube down and ride up!
Open Saturday & Sunday 10:00am- 4:00pm
Holidays Open 7 days a week (Spring Break March 16 to March 24, 2013).
Polar Coaster can be rented for groups upon request.
Additional times for the following dates:
Sunday Feb 10 10:00am- 4:00pm and 6pm to 8:30pm
Monday Feb 11 10:00am to 4: 00pm

Note:
Personal sliding devices are not allowed in the Polar Coaster Tube Park.
There are minimum
height requirements (42"/107cm).
No ski boots allowed while sliding on the tubes.
Helmets are recommended.

Beaver Pond Trail - Easy (Marked)
This is a groomed multi-use trail that cross-country skiers, snowshoers, walkers
and pets are all welcome. Trail access is behind the Lodge at the bottom of the toboggan
hill and across Gibson Pass Rd. Trail tickets are required to use groomed ski trails, see
Nordic Centre for details. Trail is 2.5km one way. Please stay to extreme right or left of
ski tracks when walking or snowshoeing. DO NOT walk down the centre lane.
Similkameen Trail - Easy (Marked)
This trail follows along the Similkameen river and through forest from the Lodge to the
Similkameen Bridge on Gibson Pass Rd. Trail head is located at the top of the toboggan
hill near the Lodge. This is short walk that takes about 30 mins return; or for a longer
snowshoe, cross the bridge and continue along the road and combine it with the Rein
Orchid loop (about 75 minutes return).
Rein Orchid Trail - Easy (Marked)
Trail head is located just past the Similkameen Bridge on Gibson Pass Rd. This is a short
loop trail that takes approximately 15 minutes to walk through the snow covered forest.
West Similkameen Trail - Moderate (Marked for summer use)
This trail begins at the Similkameen River Bridge and follows the river east for 2km
(one way) before hitting the Windy Joe Trail head. From here it continues toward the
Monument 78 (Castle Creek) Trail, and veers off towards Monument 83 and
Boyd’s Meadow.
Lightning Lake Loop - Moderate (Marked for summer use)
This is an easy trail with no elevation change. The loop is 9km around the entire lake,
or you can cross at Rainbow Bridge which cuts the trail in half. Trail starts at the
Lightning Lake Day Use Area and is well used.
Cambie Creek - Easy (Marked)
Cambie Creek trail head is located 15mins west down Hwy #3. This trail follows and
crosses the creek on a 5km loop. The 2.4 km loop is closed due to an out bridge.
Blackwall Peak - Advanced (Marked)
Blackwall peak is a difficult trail with an elevation change of about 500m. The trail is a
wide road that is closed to vehicle traffic in the winter. The trail offers spectacular views
of the valley, and is a full day hike. 6 hours return.
Poland Lake - Advanced (Not Marked)
The trail head is on the Horseshoe Trail in the Alpine Area. The Snowshoers are not
permitted on ski lifts but can hike up the Horseshoe run to the trail head. The trail is 12km
return from the Alpine shop. There is a small lean-to at the lake which makes for a good
lunch stop, if you can find it under the snow. Trail is unmarked, expect 5-6 hours return
depending on conditions.
Windy Joe - Advanced (Marked)
The Windy Joe Trail is well maintained and wide, It begins at the Similkameen River Bridge
and follows the Similkameen River east for 2km. Once the trail reaches the bottom of
Windy Joe Mountain it climbs on a series of switchbacks for approximately 3 hours. At the
top there is a fire lookout tower and great views of the mountains.
**Important: Please DO NOT walk or snowshoe on groomed nordic/alpine trails;
unless designated as a multi-use trail (i.e. Beaver Pond trail)**If you must be on
the groomed trails please walk to the extreme right or left of the trail and NOT down the
centre; if crossing a groomed trail please take the most direct route and avoid treading in
the track-set.
ICE RINK IS SUBJECT TO SUDDEN CLOSURES DUE TO WEATHER AND ICE CONDITION!!

-No hard pucks allowed.
-Lights and music stay on until 11:00pm.
-Skate and stick rentals are available from the Nordic Centre until
6:00pm (Sunday-Thursday) and 9:00pm (Friday-Saturday and Holidays)
**Please do not walk on the ice surface when Closed signs
are up, we are flooding the rink at this time!
Ski Hill Toboggan Area
Located below the Blue chair is a small, groomed hill perfect for toboggans and crazy carpets.
A fun, free, snow sliding experience that everyone can enjoy!
Resort Toboggan Area
Located beside the Nordic Centre are several small hillsides perfect for sliding! It is easy
walking distance from the resort and close to the skating rink and fire pit.
Please do not sled on the Nordic ski side of the hill.
Sleds and Crazy Carpets are available for sale at the Nordic Centre.
The Loon Lagoon is OPEN.
Take a relaxing soak in the Loon Lagoon swimming pool or hot tubs and enjoy a sauna or
steam after a hard day of playing! Use of the facility is complimentary for all of our overnight
accommodation guests, and $5.00/person for any drop in campers or day use users.
