Great views, good climbs and quick descents sum up mountain biking
in Manning Park. Many of the biking trails are on fire roads so they
are fairly wide. For steady climbs, try the Windy
Joe Trail, or head to the top of the Orange
Chair (ski hill), a vertical change of about
550 meters from the Resort. For a quicker ride, try the Gibson
Loop between Strawberry
Flats and the Lightning
Lake campground. For some wider open riding,
head out to Monument 78 & 83 about 2 km east of the Resort.
Manning Park rents mountain bikes from the Boathouse located at Lightening Lakes Day use Area or from Manning Lodge Front Desk . Rentals are (from $15.00( per hour including taxes)
and includes a helmet.
