Stopped to get snack and use washroom. Excellent service and I even got a stone bracelet for 20 bucks! Not 40! Semi precious stones but gorgeous all the same. Snacks were not too outrageous in price either.

Imagine seeing ground squirrels, wild chickens, and the beautiful stars in the night sky on just a 2 hour ride from Coquitlam! Those views are all available at manning park with their massive lightning lake, and Cascade mountain park.

My family did a lot of road trips this summer holiday, and this trip at Manning park is considerably the best of them. The resort has central AC (not the cabins) which gives a quiet room for sleeping compared to those at Kamloops. Kayaking in the summer times at lightning lake is highly recommended, tourists can rent canoes, kayaks, or surfboards, at a descent amount of price.

During night time, tourists can enjoy the night sky and the stars of Milky Way at viewpoints of Cascade mountain park, but be aware that the gate closes at around 11:00 pm, if you’re not ready to camp on the mountain, then it’s highly recommended that you return to the resort at 10:30 pm.

The foods wonderful, and wildlife such as ground squirrels and wild birds are fascinating! Highly recommended to check out this park!

Warning.....the Lodge rooms have no AIR CONDITIONING. Rooms are clean, but very dated. Fan didn't work in bathroom, sink has no plug and needs Drano. Differently needs a Reno and AC. Also have not received house keeping of refill coffee and take garbage away or toilet paper, shampoo all of these is your responsibility to call front desk for.

Our cabin had many issues when we checked in which greatly discounted our experience. I reported these on the first day, vis email, but no one replied or followed up, it was only when I called in when some of them were taken care, not all of them. Also be aware even it says on the website, the daily housekeeping is provided, you must request 24 hrs in advance and it is written in small letters when you check in.

(Negatives)
-Top bunk bed fence was loose, the fence base was not secured on the wall.
-washroom sink was leaking both from underneath and around the faucet
-one of the bedroom window couldn’t close so this room was so cold throughout the night.
- refill shampoo & body conditioner provided was empty and not refilled
- Lightening lake was nearby and beautiful but there was full of goose poops and it was disgusting.

Location was beautiful

Overall, it was in the beautiful location but lots to improve if they are charging for top rate for partly renovated cabins.

Amazing location to explore the park! The beds are comfortable in the room.

The hot tub and pool was nice and it closing at 10:00 p.m. it's great to allow you to soak in the hot tub after your adventures.

Service was also great. In the main lodgings there is no elevator. Since I was on the second floor staff helped carry my bags up for me.

My only complaint is the spring water has lots of minerals in and can be a little hard on the stomach if you're not used to it. If you're used to soft water, bring your own to drink.

Clean, spacious rooms in the resort. Good rec room with pool, ping pong, and foosball to entertain the kids. Friendly staff. Lightning Lake was peaceful during the day and it would make your jaw drop at night.

Cabins are roomy, clean and laid out well. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, so many GF options + safe fryer, servers are knowledgeable and friendly. 4 minute drive to lightning lake. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Love going to Manning Park Lodge and Resort, why? Because it is a hidden gem in the Upper Similkameen river valley very close to the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland, with tons of history, things to do and see, friendly helpful service, and there are not huge crowds everywhere. It is more of a true Provincial Park experience versus some of the mega tourism centres in British Columbia. The gophers are super cute at Lightning Lake as well in the summer months. They have a full complete gym including an Olympic squat rack, swimming pool, hot tubs, and different types of saunas. Great value overall. Please keep in mind that they have seasonal staff who are usually new to their jobs, so try to have patience with people in that way. Go with an open mind, leave with a full heart.

Impressive Campground – Clean, Well-Maintained, and Peaceful

This is a very well-maintained and clean campground—truly one of the best I’ve visited. It was the first time I’ve come across pit toilets that are completely odor-free, which speaks volumes about the high standards of cleanliness.

The campground staff are exceptionally friendly and dedicated. They clearly take pride in keeping the grounds and individual campsites in excellent condition. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire pit, and is thoughtfully spaced and surrounded by trees, offering a sense of privacy despite the campground’s popularity.

Water taps are conveniently located nearby, so there's no need to arrive with a full tank in your RV or trailer. Generator hours are standard: 9:00–11:00 AM and 6:00–8:00 PM. Showers are available, and there's a short walk to the lake where canoe rentals are offered—a great way to enjoy the surroundings.

The sani-dump station is located approximately 1 km east on the highway, just before the visitor center. Note: a fee is required to use it. The right-side lane lacks a male hose connector and sometimes fails to accept loonies, but the left-side unit functions properly.

Overall, a great experience—highly recommended for anyone seeking a clean, well-organized, and peaceful camping destination.

Great place to stay in the winter. And also a great stop passing through for a break and snacks. Rooms are dated but the price is right and the service is great. We love coming her to get out into nature.

This is a well known resort within a notable provincial park. We were there in late June and enjoyed hiking along the Lightning Lake trails and canoeing on the lake. Nice nature only 2.5 hrs from Vancouver. Perfect for a couple nights stay.
We took our family for an overnight stay and ski. We loved it and will return! Beautiful location and good value for money and fun experience. Some of the buildings are newer and some are worn. We enjoyed our experience at the restaurant, skiing, swimming and the shuttle. Met some lovely employees who loved their jobs!! So refreshing! Thank you!

Gorgeous location filled with lots of information! Highly helpful and a great place to stop and have a picnic if that’s what you like. I’ll definitely be visiting here again! Also lots of info on good homes and history of the park. I would recommend to bring some sandwiches and drinks and make a nice stop of it while travelling through the park to the Okanagan and beyond.

We were camping nearby when it was 35+ for 2 days straight - very thankful to have a source of ice nearby for our poor cooler!

Really appreciated the rigorous COVID protocols that were being enforced at the store despite some @$$hats feeling like they shouldn't have to wait in a lineup like everyone else.
The staff was nothing but professional in the face of some pretty juvenile and ignorant behaviour coming from aforementioned @$$hats.
Good selection of things you might have forgotten too 😁

ALPINE MEADOW TRAIL.
Not avid hikers, we opted to drive to the top and hike the trails there.
It was August, hot, hazy and some distant wildfires, but spectacular.
Bring some nuts along to feed the ground squirrels at the 1/2 way lookout point. They are super cute and friendly.
