Guide294295581792025-08-10Verified Avoid drinking the tap water — boiling won’t make it safe. Highly recommended – fantastic place! Just a heads-up: avoid drinking the tap water, even if boiled. The water is hard to digest and can easily upset your stomach. Bring your own water (yes, I mean bottled water! even for cooking). Jonathan W2025-03-29Verified Shoutout to Ski Patrol Phil on the ski slopes! Shout out to Phil! This is specifically for the ski area in the last week of March. All the staff we interacted with over several days of skiing (in so-so conditions) were friendly, polite and helpful - making it a positive experience. One in particular Ski Patrol named Phil (aka 'Still') skiied and coached my daughter down her first blue run on her second day of skiing ever - even helped her up twice when she fell. After that, she went back to Greens totally pumped; she raced us down and beat us at 6:22! You helped make her day! Thanks Phil! You completed the hardest hike of your life and still feel rejuvenated. 😎 You stayed up 2 nights for star gazing and ended up watching the northern lights and a shooting star. 💫 You don’t have to make breakfast. Or lunch. Or dinner. (We did make some instant noodles one late night 😅) There’s a fire pit but you’re too lazy to light it so you sit by the fireplace indoors. ☺️ That feels really nice. The food is delicious, the rooms cozy and you feel right at home. 🏡 It's the ultimate getaway destination in BC and highly recommended for all seasons. Pat C2024-12-29Verified Merry Family Christmas at Manning Park Resort We had 2 cabins for 9 adults, 3 toddlers and 2 dogs. Everything was great. Efficient shuttle bus to get us to the ski hill. Lots of trails and toboggan hills in walking distance. Beds were comfortable . Kitchens had all the utensils/dishes we needed. Would definitely come back for a winter getaway. Sandie Z2024-10-11Verified Great service like ts and washrooms. We stayed in the Skyview side that had water and power. Clean washrooms, Bottom line is we love BC Parks. There was lots to do, hike, fish, relax! Trailer lots were spacious. Semi private the trees need to grow between the lots. This is a newer concept for BC Parks. Good price for service lots. katje P2024-08-11Verified FILTHY Id come again, but they need to up their game Pros Beautiful national park access Some of the restaurant food is good (burgers, pizza) Most comfortable firm mattress Staff is friendly and positive Very dog friendly Very family friendly Cabin was well equipped, even: hair dryer, tv, phone, wifi, salt and pepper, wine opener, coffee maker, colander, etc. Surprised the restaurant had fresh fruit and veg options Cons Your ONLY source for food for miles and miles is the resort restaurant. It's greasy fat fried pub fare, weirdly seasoned, unreliably cooked, and 2x- 4x what you'd pay elsewhere. It gets old VERY fast The cabin was dirty. Very clean bed sheets, but that's about it. Musty bath towels, dirt on the carpets, floors, corners, tables, greasy dirty microwave, dirty kitchen sink, stained dirty toilet bowl and seat--just gross. I doubt the wineries had ever been washed. Hole the size of my first in the window screen. 90F weather, Wildfire smoke but no AC and no hepa air fan indoors. No way to cook or clean the air. The staff are polite but poorly trained. EVERY surface, door handle and window is sticky, all public bathrooms are filthy and poorly stocked Sofas are filthy:bodily fluids animal and human hair on the upholstery Id DEFINITELY stop for groceries before coming here islandgirl762024-07-23Verified Not luxury but very clean and comfortable We just had a 1 night stay at the lodge after an epic backcountry hike. Setting expectations this is not a luxury property and as mentioned some features are a bit dated. But our mini-suite was spotlessly clean and very large with 2 queen beds, a pull-out couch, room for a complimentary roll-away bed plus a dining table with four chairs, kitchenette (microwave, coffeemaker, minifridge and dishes for 4) and a great entryway area for all our gear, footwear, etc. I really appreciated the flooring (not carpet) which seemed new and the bathroom was well appointed with enough places to layout toiletries, hang towels, etc. There was also excellent lighting in the room. The beds were incredibly comfortable and while there is no a/c there was a portable fan and the windows have screens so we had fresh air. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing to note was there was no phone or way to communicate with the front desk from the room. We had to use our cell phone to call down for help (or we could obviously have walked down in person). We had breakfast in the Pinewoods restaurant the next morning which was delicious and lots of great options for vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free. Again, the staff were very friendly. We also purchased some cold drinks and pre-made sandwiches from the grocery store and were very pleased with the quality. The pool was large and the hot tub was great for our sore muscles. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. rssrob2024-07-02Verified Great camping spot Nice wide open spots. Full hook up. Great big playground for the kids. Nicely laid ou and as the trees grow up there will be more privacy. Clean washrooms . Several wash up stations spread throughout the campsite. We will definitely be back again .
