DEC 2, 2021 – UPDATE

Well, it’s been an eventful fall season! We hope everyone has stayed safe and dry in the face of all the wild weather.

We are grateful for all the hard work of the highway and construction crews that are working diligently to repair our roads and keep them safe for us. We encourage everyone to follow DriveBC for updates and to adhere to all advisories and recommendations to limit travel until deemed safe.

Due to additional rainfall and travel restrictions that remain in place for HWY #3 until December 21st, 2021 (where we are located), we are effectively moving our official opening date to December 22nd, 2021 as we continue to support ongoing Provincial Orders and encourage you to as well.

If you have pre-purchased a ticket, rental, or lesson for our initial opening weekend of December 11th & 12th, please contact our Alpine support team at alpine@manningpark.com or follow the prompts to our alpine team at 604-668-5922 to transfer your purchase to an alternate date within our 2021/2022 winter season.

If you have pre-purchased accommodation, please contact our front desk agents at info@manningpark.com or 604-668-5922 to transfer your accommodation to an alternate date.

To our Season Passholders, you will be receiving an e-mail on Monday with more details regarding changes to the passholder perks for this month, pass pick-up, and more.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the resort and get started on what will be another incredible winter season.

We’ll see you soon,

Manning Park Resort

  1. Did the resort suffer any damage? Or was it just the road that had trouble?

    Just curious.

  2. When do you anticipate your Skyview campground to open? Will it be open for summer 2022?

  3. News this morning stated Highway 3 would be closed to all but essential traffic until Highway 1 opens in the new year and specifically stated no travel for skiing. Any updates? What about reservations over the holidays if the highway is closed to only essential travel?

    • Hi Sheri, we are still optimistic that this is going to be another incredible winter season, despite the road challenges. Our season hasn’t even started yet, and we are encouraging everyone to hold tight and wait for more information from our hardworking Highway and Transportation teams before making any decisions regarding the rest of the season.
We of course provide transfers as needed and as guided by government/safety officials and industry partners, but for now, we are remaining optimistic. As we’ve seen, there has been an incredible amount of work completed in a short amount of time already, and a lot can happen in a week!

  4. Will the loon lagoon be open this year for guests staying in cabins? Also will the ice rink be open (weather dependent of course)

    • Hi Jeff,
The Loon Lagoon Pool and Fitness Centre is partially open. The swimming pool and weights room are now open. Guests require their vaccine passports checked at the front desk and will then receive a wristband for entry. The sauna and steam room remain closed due to COVID19 safety considerations.

We are hoping to have an ice rink for our guests as well, but it is very weather-dependent! Looking forward to welcoming you this winter.

  5. Besides skiing at Manning park; do you know if any restrictions to stay in cabins due to covid during Chrismas holidays.

  6. Are family’s with adults and chrildren under 5 years of age allowed to stay in cabins at/near Manning Park over Christmas Holidays 2021

    • Hi Eva, yes, our cabins are open for all guests this holiday season and all year long.

  7. Do famies with kiddos in varying ages all require a vaccine passport for the skating rink and pool?

    • Hi Jess, the skating rink is an outdoor activity so does not require a vaccine passport, but the pool does for ages 12+ during this time.
