managing snow and winter weather
Our sites and roads are plowed regularly, but be prepared and bring a shovel! It is common to wake up to 2 feet of snow outside your doorstep. We do plow the roads and your site for the day of your arrival, but we do not plow your site once you are on it, nor do we dig out the water, power, or sanitary connections.
Our picnic tables are not dug out, and are off to the side of the site.
Our sites have water, sewer and power all year round. The hydrants are heated so the water doesn’t freeze. However, when the temperature gets below 0C you will need a heated hose to stop your drinking hose from freezing up. These can be purchased at most RV dealers.
Winter camping is some of the best camping when prepared! We are in a mountainous area so our weather can change fast. With it being winter, power outages can occur, so please make sure you bring candles, a headlamp and an alternative light source just in case. Don’t forget your camping chair to look at the stars.
