A grand opening celebration is planned for Monday, August 28th, in the brand new Alpine Room at Manning Park Resort to celebrate recent capital improvements.
Kevin Demers, owner of Manning Park Resort since 2013, has invited local politicians and dignitaries to officially open the Alpine Room, and to highlight the other major upgrades at the Resort.
MLA Jackie Tegart, Mayors Wilfried Vicktor of Hope and Frank Armitage of Princeton, as well as representatives from BC Parks. local tourism connections, media and business connections have been invited to attend.
The venue for the celebration, the Alpine Room, was newly constructed at the beginning of this year. The 3500-square foot function room, adjacent to the Pinewoods building marked the first construction to occur in Manning Park in over a decade.
Since that landmark ground-breaking, improvements have been coming fast and furious, starting with the wildly popular announcement of five new premium cabins being built this summer, with a further twenty planned over the course of the next five years. These cabins will sleep up to twelve people, and the first five are scheduled to be completed in Fall 2017.
Other considerable improvements include a significant paving project that resurfaced the entire Resort area, upgrades to the internet and wifi capabilities, the creation of a dedicated corporate internet network and renovations to the Pinewoods Dining Room and Lodge accommodations.
There is a lot to celebrate!
The grand opening celebration is by invitation, however, any guests wishing to see the Alpine Room are invited to tour it between 2pm – 5pm.
