Step into a quieter kind of adventure with snowshoeing at Manning Park. Our 300km network of scenic trails lead you deep into the hidden corners of the Cascade Mountains, where fresh snow, towering trees, and awe-inspiring views await.
📍 To book or learn more about rates and availability, please contact the Nordic Centre – nordic@manningpark.com
This is a groomed multi-use trail that cross-country skiers, snowshoers, walkers and pets are all welcome to use. The trail is accessed from behind the Lodge at the bottom of the toboggan hill and across Gibson Pass Rd. Trail tickets are required to use groomed ski trails; please visit the Nordic Centre for details. The trail is 2.5km one way.
Please stay to the extreme right or left of ski tracks when walking or snowshoeing. DO NOT walk down the centre lane.
The trailhead is located at the top of the toboggan hill near the Manning Park Lodge. From here, the trail takes you through the trees and along the Similkameen River and on to the Similkameen Bridge on the Gibson Pass Road. This is a short walk that takes about 30 mins return; it can also be used to access the Rein Orchid, Canyon Nature, West Similkameen or Windy Joe trails.
The trailhead is located just past the Similkameen Bridge on Gibson Pass Rd. This is a short loop trail that takes approximately 15 minutes to walk through the snow-covered forest.
The Cambie Creek snowshoeing trail head is located 15mins west down Hwy #3. This trail follows and crosses the creek on a 5km loop. The shorter, 2.4 km loop is now also open, and the bridge has been repaired through the fine work of the Friends of Manning Park group!
This trail begins at the Similkameen River Bridge and follows the river east for 2km (one way) before hitting the Windy Joe Trail head.
The last part of the trail begins at the North end of our operating area, where the BC Parks trail begins to Poland Lake. The last section of this trail is not marked.
Please Note:
The Windy Joe Trail is well maintained and wide. It begins at the Similkameen River Bridge and follows the Similkameen River east for 2km. Once the trail reaches the bottom of Windy Joe Mountain, it climbs on a series of switchbacks for approximately 3 hours. At the top, there is a fire lookout tower and great views of the mountains.

Plan ahead and prepare for an unforgettable group camping experience—any time of year!
Our sites and roads are plowed regularly, but be prepared and bring a shovel! It is common to wake up to 2 feet of snow outside your doorstep. We do plow the roads and your site for the day of your arrival, but we do not plow your site once you are on it, nor do we dig out the water, power, or sanitary connections.
Our picnic tables are not dug out, and are off to the side of the site.
Our sites have water, sewer and power all year round. The hydrants are heated so the water doesn’t freeze. However, when the temperature gets below 0C you will need a heated hose to stop your drinking hose from freezing up. These can be purchased at most RV dealers.
Winter camping is some of the best camping when prepared! We are in a mountainous area so our weather can change fast. With it being winter, power outages can occur, so please make sure you bring candles, a headlamp and an alternative light source just in case. Don’t forget your camping chair to look at the stars.
Do not leave your fire unattended for any amount of time. Fires must be contained in the fire ring provided. Please follow all posted fire notices, restrictions, or bans that may be in effect.
Firewood is $12 per bundle, and can be purchased from the Park Operator when they make their rounds, or at the Manning Park Country Store. Please don’t gather firewood from the area around your campsite or elsewhere in the park. Any cutting of trees is prohibited. Please make sure you put your fire out before leaving your site; neglecting to do so can result in a fine.
All garbage belongs in the garbage bins in the campground, so that we can protect local wildlife such as bears.
Please clean up after your pets! All pets should be kept on leash at all times when outside of your vehicle. Pets should not be left unattended, or become a nuisance to other guests.
Pets are not permitted on beaches or in Park buildings. There are no off-leash areas in Manning Park.
Generator hours are 9:00 am – 11:00 am and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 7:00 am
The speed limit in the park is 15 KM an hour.
There are no motorized vehicles permitted on the trails. Snowmobiles and ATVs are not permitted within the provincial park.
Drone usage is prohibited under BC Parks regulations. Flying of drones in the park requires a permit from the Area Supervisor.
As per BC Parks rules smoking is only allowed in your campsite.
